Innovators
The National Institutes of Health Commercialization Assistance Program (http://www.larta.org/nihcap.asp) is a nationwide ten-month program funded by NIH and managed and executed by Larta Institute. The program is designed to assist a select group of the most promising life science companies bring their technologies to market. The program comprises of training workshops, individual mentoring and consulting sessions, and public events in which companies present their technologies to the investment community, potential strategic partners and licensees.
Other commercialization programs clients include the National Institute of Standards and Technology (http://www.larta.org/atp), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (http://www.larta.org/darpa) and the Department of Agriculture (http://www.larta.org/usda), which fund cutting-edge innovation in the life science and related sectors. In addition, Larta Institute also manages Network T2 (www.larta.org/networkt2.asp), a consortium of university technology transfer executives focused on facilitating licensing and partnership alliances with industry.
